Oyo State, Nigeria—March 25, 2024— The Karim Adeyemi Foundation (KAF) is excited to announce the extension of the registration deadline for its International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) Essay Competition. The deadline has been extended from March 25th to April 1st, 2024, to ensure the participation of all public secondary school students in Oyo State.
This decision reflects our commitment to fostering inclusivity and allowing more public students to participate in this enriching academic opportunity and showcase their writing talents.
The IDSDP Essay Competition consists of two phases:
- Expression of Interest (EOI) and Finals
The EOI phase involves students submitting their entry on the topic: “How does sport promote national pride in Nigeria?”
Students can use any medium (writing, song, poem, recording, etc.) to demonstrate their creativity.
The EOI entries don’t need to be lengthy, but they should be as creative as possible.
Successful students will be invited to write the essay at the finals on April 6th, 2024. The venue will be communicated to the public across our social media platforms.
Students are encouraged to submit their EOI either through the foundation’s website or via email at scholarships@karimadeyemifoundation.org.
