At Karim Adeyemi Foundation (KAF), we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to discover, nurture, and fully express their talents. By doing this, we empower them to pursue their dreams and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
This belief is the driving force behind our work across Africa and Romania, where we’re leading impactful projects that address inequality and create opportunities in underserved areas.
According to Sandra Adeyemi, mother of the German national team player Karim Adeyemi, our foundation has already recorded remarkable progress:
“In our first year alone, we were able to provide over 10,000 people across multiple communities in Nigeria with access to clean water.”
The foundation is also making strides in education. In Nigeria, it has continually awarded scholarships to students from low-income families, supplying schools with vital teaching and learning material as well as equipping teachers with the tools and training necessary to deliver high-quality education in their classrooms and communities, communities we serve.
Karim Adeyemi’s personal journey continues to inspire the mission and values of the foundation. His football breakthrough began in 2013 when he represented SpVgg Unterhaching in the Merkur CUP. With an unforgettable performance, Karim helped his team secure the tournament victory—a memory that still resonates deeply with him:
“I’ll never forget that tournament—the Merkur CUP. It was my favorite tournament ever, and we still talk about it to this day,” says the 1.80 m tall Borussia Dortmund forward.
Driven by a deep sense of gratitude and a passion for impact, Karim launched a tradition in 2023 by inviting the Fair Play award-winning team from the Merkur CUP to visit Dortmund—a tradition he intends to uphold annually.
At the 2025 Merkur CUP final in Unterhaching, on Sunday, July 20, Karim Adeyemi Foundation will be present with an informational and interactive booth where visitors can learn about our ongoing projects across Nigeria, Romania, and Germany. Visitors will also have the chance to participate in a raffle, with exciting prizes including signed Borussia Dortmund jerseys from Karim Adeyemi himself.
While Karim continues to make his mark on the pitch, his off-field contributions are laying the groundwork for a legacy of hope, opportunity, and global solidarity—one that is touching lives across continents.
