IFC Qualifiers: Adeyemi FC Secures 2-2 Draw Against Winners FC

Adeyemi Football Club kicked off the Ibadan Football Council league qualifiers with a competitive 2-2 draw against Winners FC at Olubadan Stadium in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Under the guidance of Coach Drey, Adeyemi FC dominated the early stages, capitalizing on a numerical advantage as a Winners FC player was sent off in the 17th minute for foul language against Ajekiigbe Sunday.

Gbadegeshin Afeez opened the scoring for Adeyemi FC in the 24th minute, courtesy of an assist from Ajekiigbe Sunday. However, Winners FC levelled the game at 1-1 by the 30th minute.

Coach Drey made some tactical changes in the second half, introducing Olawoye Abiodun for Gbadegeshin Afeez in the attack. In the 77th minute, Ajekiigbe Sunday provided a brilliant assist to Olawoye Abiodun, putting Adeyemi FC ahead.

However, a controversial penalty in the 80th minute allowed Winners FC to level the score at 2-2.

Bello Akeem had a late chance to secure the maximum points for Adeyemi FC, but his effort hit the bar, resulting in a hard-fought draw.
