On Friday, August 15, 2025, Karim Adeyemi Foundation (KAF), in collaboration with Ayo Adams, hosted the inaugural edition of ECOLOGUE 1.0—a youth-centered conversation designed to build ecosystems and communities for young people across diverse fields to thrive in Ibadan. This event formed part of KAF’s annual activities to commemorate InternationalYouth Day (IYD), staying true to our mission of empowering young people with tools, networks, and opportunities to create sustainable change.

A Dynamic and Engaging Program
The event kicked off with opening remarks by co-host Ayo Adams, followed by lively icebreakers led by the moderator, Oyinkansola Oluwade, which set a relaxed, interactive tone for the day.
From there, participants dove into thought-provoking sessions from notable speakers:
- Islamiat Adekola — Owning Your Voice: Creativity for Social Impact
- Visitmas — Digital Gold: Leveraging Social Media for Self-Development
- Ayileka Samuel — Selling in Oyo State: Marketing That Resonates
Key Takeaways
“Content is key to selling anywhere. Tell stories, sell with a timeline, give first before receiving, and repeat your message until it sticks.“
Ayileka Samuel – Speaker
Visitmas emphasized the importance of building a community that works while understanding competition—from sharing data and exchanging ideas to fostering genuine connections.
The audience also benefited greatly from the expertise of Mr. Agboyega Adeoya, whose practical insights added depth to each discussion.

A Rich and Inspiring Atmosphere
The conversations were vibrant, collaborative, and solution-oriented, with contributions from notable attendees such as Ibrahim Oredola and Password TV. The atmosphere was also one of learning, openness, and shared purpose. Closing remarks were delivered by Aanu Oluyide on behalf of KAF, reaffirming our commitment to building sustainable communities of young people who will drive change in Ibadan and beyond.
Looking Ahead
As Karim Adeyemi foundation continue its efforts in Youth Development in Ibadan, ECOLOGUE 1.0 will set the stage for future youth-driven forums, where dialogue transforms into partnerships, and partnerships lead to measurable impact. As witnessed yesterday, it is possible to create a strong sense of community from small places. Therefore, Ecologue 1.0 can transform into a recurring platform where youth voices are amplified locally year in year out, and KAF is committed to making this happen. We invite you to stay connected with us on our social media platforms to keep up with our programs and opportunities.
