Adeyemi FC Qualifies for Ibadan Football Council (IFC) League

– Coach Drey set sight on league phase.

Adeyemi Football Club Ibadan are through to the league phase of the Ibadan Football Council league 2023.

Ali Ayuba’s goal secured the IFC qualification ticket for his side with an equalizer goal from the spot.

The last game of Adeyemi FC in the IFC League qualifiers against Abiola Babes FC at Olubadan Stadium, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State on Thursday beyond the expectations of both sides

Adeyemi Football Club started the game with massive attacks but no attempts converted into goal, the attackers missed a lot of chances.

Olawoye Abiodun, Ajekiigbe Sunday and Abiola Joshua had opportunities in the front to ease the pressure, but efforts proved abortive as the first half ended goalless.

52 minutes into the second half, Abiola Babes FC scored through a corner kick, they stepped up and reinforced their attacks, this prompted coach drey to make some substitutes in a way to cool down the attacks and find means of levelling the game.

In the 74 minutes, Olawoye Abiodun was hacked down in the box and the CR signalled for a penalty, Ali Ayuba stepped up and levelled the game from the spot.

Abiola Babes FC goalkeeper sent off in the 79 minutes for attacking a boy ball.

With the 1-1 draw, Adeyemi Football qualified for the league stage of Ibadan Football Council league (IFC League) with 5 points from three matches.
