Karim Adeyemi Foundation is pleased to announce to the general public that the deadline for the KAF International Day of Sport for Peace and Development Essay Competition has been extended until the 15th of May, 2023. The competition, exclusive to secondary school students in Oyo state, encourages young people to reflect on the role of sports in promoting peace and development and to share their ideas on how to use sports to create positive change in their communities.
“We understand that many students are currently out of school due to the ongoing term break, and we don’t want them to miss out on this opportunity to participate in the competition,” said KAF’s spokesperson. “By extending the deadline, we hope to give more students a chance to showcase their creativity and inspire others with their ideas on using sport to build better communities.”
The competition is open to senior secondary students and the essay must not be more than 500 words in length. The top three essays will be selected by a panel of judges and will receive scholarship prizes of 300,000 Naira. In addition, the winning essays will be published on KAF’s website and social media channels, and the winners will have the opportunity to present their ideas at an upcoming event.
To enter the competition, students should visit http://bit.ly/KAFESSAY for more information and submission instructions.
