Ibadan-based professional football club, Adeyemi FC, is set to battle with the newly promoted NPFL side, Sporting Lagos, in a friendly round leather game.
Head Coach of Adeyemi FC, Kolawole Emmanuel, also known as Coach Drey, revealed in an interview that the friendly encounter will be an avenue for his players to display a great performance.
‘We are here in Lagos to display good football with a better side, Sporting Lagos is a big team in the Nigeria football league we can’t underrate them at all, but they can’t intimidate us as well because my boys have never for once feared any team, it’s a friendly encounter which I believe we’ll perform very well’.
He said.
Coach Kolawole explained that as the team prepares to participate in the Nigeria League, they have been tidying up in a way to display good football in the Nigeria Football League, noting that part of their preparation is club friendlies so far.
He promised football lovers that his team would display good football against Sporting Lagos live at their home ground, adding they won’t disappoint their fans both home and away.
Sporting Lagos will host Adeyemi Football Club at their home ground, Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos by 11 a.m. on the 24th of August.
Adeyemi Football Club is the football development initiative of Karim Adeyemi Foundation, owned by the popular German footballer, Karim Adeyemi. The club was created to identify and nurture local talents into national and international football stars while eliminating inequalities in communities.
